Clinical Psychologist, Professor, and Researcher

I am a clinical psychologist who specializes in fear, anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive (OC) spectrum disorders.

summary

I completed training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (The Anxiety Lab) and the Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School (Center for OCD and Related Disorders). I joined the faculty in the Department of Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School and led multiple research studies examining how family factors and emotion regulation influence OCD, and how clinicians assess suicide risk.

In 2017, I transitioned to the College of the Holy Cross, where I am now an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology. I teach courses on mental health and research methods, direct the Holy Cross Obsessive Compulsive Processes and Experimentation (HOPE) Laboratory, and mentor undergraduate students.
